Right of Withdrawal
Physical goods
Consumers generally have a statutory withdrawal right for qualifying distance purchases. For a normal purchase of goods, the withdrawal period generally begins when the consumer or a designated third party other than the carrier receives the goods. The statutory period is generally 14 days, subject to applicable exceptions and the legally required information.
Digital content not supplied on a physical medium
For paid digital content such as a game key or voucher, the withdrawal right can expire when SpielZent begins performance only if the consumer expressly agreed that performance may begin before the withdrawal period expires, acknowledged that the withdrawal right is lost when performance begins, and SpielZent provides the required contract confirmation.
Exercising withdrawal
Where a withdrawal right still exists, the consumer may communicate an unequivocal decision to withdraw within the applicable period. Include the order number, name, contact information and the products concerned so the request can be identified promptly.
Return of physical goods
After a valid withdrawal involving physical goods, the goods must be returned in accordance with the statutory rules and the return instructions provided by SpielZent. Statutory rules determine repayment, return costs and any permitted deduction for diminished value.
